It is very appropriate that the clinical staff conference of the National Institutes of Health, which is published in this issue of the ANNALS, considers the problem of cystic fibrosis of the pancreas by contrasting the classical picture seen in a young child with the more unusual clinical history of an adult who shows definite findings in keeping with this disease picture.
