For the medical scientist who needs data from the literature on a narrow question, the conventional sources, such as Index Medicus, are only places to start his search. He must gather his bibliography from under a few general headings and then labor through each paper to see whether it contains the data pertinent to his inquiry. Volume 1 will cover 1931-1950, and Volume 3, 1956-1960.
