Cardiovascular surgery remains a mystery to many general physicians who must, however, care for and refer patients with cardiovascular disease. This book is an attempt to create a manual for the practicing physician who is not a cardiologist or cardiovascular surgeon so that he or she will be able to diagnose, treat, refer, and give long-term care to patients with operable disease.
