This manual of case-taking is offered as a supplement to the author's Methods in Medicine, the Manual of the Medical Service of George Dock, published in 1924. It consists of diagnostic data arranged as logically as possible in the natural sequence of the history, physical and laboratory examination. The introductory paragraphs emphasize the value of complete case records and outline the general principles involved in their preparation and the most important points in the technique of case-taking.
