A testimonial dinner was given Dr. James M. Anders of Philadelphia on November 29 in honor of his fiftieth anniversary in the practice of medicine. Dr. Josiah H. Penniman, President and Provost of the University of Pennsylvania, presided at the dinner, which was attended by a large number of prominent members of the medical and legal professions. Dr. John B. Deaver, on behalf of those present, presented a lifesize bust of Dr. Anders to the doctor.
Dr. Anders has the distinction of being the only individual on whom has ever been conferred Mastership in the American College of Physicians. As
