The purpose of this book is to present, in as clear and concise a manner as is possible, the nature and significance of the various diseases of the oral cavity which are not fully treated in works on general pathology. In its preparation the author has had in mind, particularly, the students and the practitioners of dentistry, who, having had some preliminary training in the field of general pathology, desire to acquaint themselves with the present knowledge concerning those disease which are related to their own special field of activity.
