This is a book for the individual, about himself; and it is a book with a mission. Although it deals with the fundamentals of normal and abnormal psychology, it is never abstruse, or unclear, or dull. It can be read by every medical man and every intelligent layman, too, with pleasure and profit. It succeeds in avoiding the specialized terminology of psychology, substituting well understood and yet scientifically accurate expressions for the vernacular of the specialist.
