This manual was intended primarily as a clinical guide for medical students and internes but also includes the practical working directions needed by the nurse in charge of a patient with a contagious disease. It should be of great value to all practitioners and particularly to school physicians. Concisely written, it is also surprisingly complete. The diseases considered are diphtheria, Vincent's angina, scarlet fever, measles, rubella, whooping cough, mumps, chicken pox, vaccinia, epidemic meningitis and poliomyelitis.
