The no cases of malignant disease used in this study were divided into three groups; a basic control series composed of 25 cases of malignant disease, previously examined post-mortem by the author, in which application had been made for extract injection, but in which death had occurred before any extract was administered; a relative control series consisting of 47 cases receiving from 1 to 15 injections, or not more than 10.5 c.c. of the experimental adrenal cortex extract; and an experimental observation series consisting of 42 cases in which more than 15 injections, or more than 10.5 c.c. of the
