The purpose and character of this book are set forth in the lengthy subtitle. It is, in fact, a rich storehouse of knowledge of the chemical attributes of tuberculosis in all its phases. This huge material is well organized, and critically analyzed, by the joint authors, who are better qualified than any others to do this task. Ten years have elapsed since the manuscript of the first edition was completed.
