This study of officers of the United States Army who have been under treatment for pulmonary tuberculosis at Fitzsimons General Hospital since January 1923 was undertaken in order to assist in arriving at an opinion of the results obtained by treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis in officers on the active list of the United States Army. All too frequently it is the usual opinion throughout the Army that when any officer contracts tuberculosis his days of usefulness for the Army are to a large extent over.
