Dr. Ernest Jones, in a short preface to this book, states: "It would be hard to think of a better introduction to this complex study, than that which her book offers." With this statement, we heartily agree. Written in a clear, logical manner, it is free from the exaggerations that so frequently mar books on the subject of psychoanalysis. The average physician may not agree with many of the concepts here elucidated, but he will nevertheless find much that is helpful in understanding the chronic invalid.
