The general plan of this edition is very similar to that of the first. The book is divided into three parts. The first deals briefly with the morphology, physiology, and classification of bacteria, with their relation to their environment and with the action of chemicals upon them. The second part discusses rather thoroughly the subjects of infection and immunity. The third is devoted to various infections of the oral cavity.
