At the very outset it may be said that the present work is a thoroughly sound and acceptable one in every way, and that it may be unreservedly recommended not only to the laboratory investigator, but also to the increasing number of clinicians who are becoming interested in endocrinological problems. The text is introduced by a foreword from Professor F. A. E.
