In the preface to this ninth volume, Neurology and Psychiatry, of The Practitioner's Library of Medicine and Surgery, attention is very properly called to the fact that the ultimate welfare of the patient with a "nervous" disorder often depends upon the alertness and insight of the practitioner whom he first consults.
