In the second edition of this work the author has added many new sections, and major alterations have been made in other sections. The illustrations are excellent. References, especially to the more recent literature, follow each chapter. The author not only describes the morbid anatomy of internal diseases, but also links it to the clinical symptomatology presented by such diseases. At times he perhaps is more positive in his statements than would seem justified by the evidence at hand, and at times the clinical discussion leaves something to be desired.
