This volume is the outgrowth of a symposium in 1930 on the structure and function of the kidney in health and disease. The project was initiated by Dr. Hildung Berglund, then Professor of Medicine in the University of Minnesota. The contributions made at that time have been revised and brought to date by the participants in the symposium. There are 44 contributors and listed among them are many of the prominent investigators of questions pertaining to the kidneys. The book is divided into six parts and 41 chapters.
