The purpose of this book is to present the author's views as to the problem of abnormalities of blood pressure. It is therefore a discussion of the mechanisms involved in the maintenance of normal pressure and in the causation of hypertension and hypotension. It is not concerned except in a secondary way with the symptomatology of blood pressure derangements nor with therapeutic procedures. The first section deals with normal blood pressure, arterial, capillary and venous.
