This work constitutes an edition of chapters contributed by seventeen specialists of the United States, Canada, and Europe and represents the first real attempt to assemble the vast store of knowledge of roentgen therapy into a volume for the English speaking radiologists. Attempts to produce such a volume previous to this time have been fraught with discouragement due to the rapid changes that have been taking place in this branch of medicine.
