The author has devoted the greater part of this book to a description of the nature of the first infection type and of the reinfection type of tuberculosis in infants, children and young adults, and particularly to discussion of how these young individuals acquire these lesions and how they may spread them. He tries hard to impart to the reader his own zeal for stamping out tuberculosis. Since he has had an unusually full experience in tuberculosis detection and in the working out of preventive measures his book is very interesting and valuable from these points of view. It is,
