This case report attempts to present further15, 16 evidence concerning the efficacy of sulfanilamide in pneumococcic meningitis. That sulfanilamide and its derivatives are of definite value in the treatment of streptococcic1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and meningococcic meningitis7 has been proved by thorough experimental work and frequent clinical findings. The value of sulfanilamide in the treatment of various types of pneumococcic infections is as yet undetermined. However, recent reports in the literature suggest that this drug may be of value in the treatment of type III pneumococcic infections,8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and is more definitely of
