Beginning with an impartial evaluation of the problems and data of fat metabolism, the rôle of adipose tissue in the cycle is considered. Caloric balance as the sole cause of obesity is scouted. Dynamic and static phases of weight production are urged. The chapter on lipophilia is the best discussion of that concept this reviewer has seen, and a chapter on the nervous system
