To the reviewer's knowledge, this monograph is the only essay of its kind in publication and covers the subject of chemistry and metabolism of the skin succinctly and quite fully within the limits of the space available.
The author should not permit himself the liberty of dealing in probabilities as, for instance, on page 23, where he states "The probability is that it (hyperglycemia) is a hepato-pancreatic disturbance or a metabolic disorder."
