The fourth edition of this volume maintains the standard of excellence achieved by previous editions. Considerable new material has been added including, among others, discussions of disseminated lupus erythematosus, primary atypical pneumonia, Meigs' syndrome, alloxan diabetes, cystic fibrosis of the pancreas, the Rh factor in erythroblastosis fetalis, etc. Throughout the book an effort is made to correlate pathology and pathological physiology with the clinical manifestations of disease.
