This interesting text contains information of value to both the general practitioner and the dermatologist, although naturally its greatest service will be to the latter. There are formulae of the various type cosmetic preparations on the market presented so that a case of suspected cosmetic dermatitis may be adequately studied by testing with the various ingredients as well as with the whole preparation. Because of its simplicity beauticians may find this book of value. There are brief chapters on anatomy and physiology and an adequate discussion of cutaneous allergy. The pictures are poorly reproduced and might well have been omitted,
