There is no doubt that this volume is well on its way to establishing itself as a classic text in its field. The second edition, released for publication in October, 1946, displays evidence of careful revision throughout. The few years intervening between publication of the first edition and the present one have seen many important advances in hematology, most of which are accorded scholarly and comprehensive consideration here.
