In a previous communication to the ANNALS OF INTERNAL MEDICINE from the Vanderbilt University Hospital, Hunt reported observations on 12 cases of pleuropulmonary tularemia treated with streptomycin during a nine months period in 1946.1 Unfortunately, the clinical charts prepared for this publication were lost by the printer and did not appear in Hunt's article.
In the present communication selected cases from the Vanderbilt University Hospital material and 15 additional cases of pleuropulmonary tularemia treated with streptomycin in Veterans Administration Hospitals are presented in summary form and discussed briefly. For a more detailed discussion of pleuropulmonary tularemia the reader is referred
