The author of this text for students and practitioners has carried out admirably an almost impossible task—the condensation in a moderate sized volume of the physical diagnosis, symptoms, pathogenesis, etiology, symptomatic and chemotherapeutic treatment of almost any disease which affects the lungs.
This is done in a concise, didactic style in which the decision is already made for the student as to the cause and cure of the different diseases. There are no references at the end of the chapters which might allow the reader to pursue a more complete analysis of the subject. This does not mean that the
