It is the purpose of this paper to present a group of 25 patients who have had venous catheterization of the right heart. We feel that this procedure has now reached a stage where it can be used as a valuable diagnostic aid in the complete clinical evaluation of patients with actual or suspected congenital heart disease. Venous catheterization of the right heart can be used in capable hands in any well regulated cardiac clinic and should be used to supplement our present armamentarium.
