This is a report of a woman, now 53, who has had mucous colitis since 1926.
For the six years prior to 1926 the patient had gastrointestinal distress that occasioned an appendectomy, but it was in 1926, when she was seen by one of us (F. G. E.), that the diagnosis of mucous colitis was made. At that time she had many complaints; she said she was "all in."
