This symposium consists of the papers presented at the Fourth Conference on Blood Clotting and Allied Problems held in January 1951.
While the variety of subjects dealt with is not so wide as in previous symposia, nevertheless the high standard of the presentations has been maintained and by careful editing the discussions form a most valuable additional source of information. Of particular interest and importance are the beautifully planned and executed studies on canine hemophilia by Brinkhous and his collaborators by which many of the problems of the genetic aspects of the disease have been elucidated.
