The difficulties encountered in leading a panel discussion into an integrated volume are quite apparent in this publication. Many conflicting views are presented by different members of the panel—conflicting views that may be most disturbing and confusing to one unfamiliar with the subject of allergy. Because of this, the book would certainly be an unhappy selection for the newcomer in this field. In addition, the material presented is most uneven.
