The authors designed this book to enable the student of cardiology to correlate various subjects that pertain to the diagnosis of heart disease, and "to comprehend the manifestations of the . . . cardiovascular system through simple, concise statements correlated with diagnostic illustrations." Toward this end they have gathered together their information and presented it in outline and table form, with many diagrams. The outline method of presentation makes reading difficult and uninteresting. It eliminates much of the discussion that should enable the intelligent student to weigh the facts properly and develop an understanding of the subject. The statements are
