The plan of this book represents a departure from the usual textbook of neurology in that sections on neuroanatomy, neurological examination and topical diagnosis are not presented. The omission of such material has resulted in a more compact volume but has reduced its value somewhat to the medical student and the practicing physician as a complete neurological text. The material presented, however, is that which is most useful to the medical student and the practicing physician since only the more commonly encountered neurological diseases are discussed in considerable detail.
