The rapid pace of new developments in the wide field of blood disorders quickly makes a text obsolete, unless it is frequently revised. This second edition of Dr. Sturgis' textbook is remarkably complete in its coverage of recent contributions applicable to clinical hematology. At the same time, there has been no sacrifice of the interesting and desirable historical information relative to the topics discussed. The text pertains to clinical situations and does not give descriptions of laboratory technics nor interpretation of results.
The author writes clearly and presents the material in a most readable manner, calling freely upon his own
