Cardiac catheterization is being more widely employed as a routine procedure for the diagnosis and evaluation of acquired and congenital heart disease. The authors of this manual discuss both right and left heart catheterization. They describe in some detail the cardiac cycle, technic of catheterization, normal and abnormal pressures, and pressure patterns, artifacts and formulas used in cardiac catheterization. The manual is profusely illustrated and well edited.
