The increasing availability of radioactive iodine for the treatment of hyperthyroidism demands accurate diagnosis of diseases of the thyroid gland. We recently had the opportunity of seeing a patient with an unusual combination of toxic thyroid manifestations. The case is reported because of its exceptional rarity and the opportunity it offers to review certain aspects of thyroid disease.
