In a previous paper1 by one of us (E. A.), the treatment of a series of cases of tuberculous meningitis with isonicotinic acid hydrazides alone was reported. The current paper is based on the use of a combination of isonicotinic acid hydrazides, streptomycin and para-aminosalicylic acid in 41 cases of tuberculous meningitis seen between March 6, 1952, and December 4, 1956.
Table 1 shows the age distribution of the patients in this series. The youngest patient was seven months and the oldest 64 years of age. The wide range in age, with predominance of the younger age groups,
