This text, designed primarily for the undergraduate student or pre-general practitioner and compiled by a group of London physicians of consultant and lecturer status in the specialties, presents the substance of what the authors usually teach their students. The whole has been edited by John S. Richardson, Physician, St. Thomas's Hospital, London, who contributed the sections on The Endocrine Glands, The Rheumatic Diseases, Poisons and, with Dudley Baker, the section on The Management of Terminal Disease. Sections are divided generally after the division of the specialties.
