The third edition of this popular text maintains the excellent standards set previously. The several contributors discuss signs and symptoms of disease in clear, concise style. There is a uniformly high level of authorship, for which the editor deserves commendation. Each section is concerned with normal function, the derangement of this function by various pathologic entities which produce symptoms, and methods for diagnosing pertinent diseases. Psychosomatic factors receive appropriate attention.
