As stated in the foreword, "works on the anatomy of the nerve supplies of the cardiovascular system are few indeed and correct accounts rarer still. Yet the subject is of great importance to medicine and one of immense fascination to the clinician." This monograph is the product of an anatomist who has carried out extensive investigation in this field. While primarily anatomically oriented, the author has not tried to divorce structure from function. The result is a happy blending of much of our present-day knowledge of the neurovascular complex.
