Medical men will feel greater kinship with this author than with a pure physicist. Mr. Arnott is a biologist whose interest in nuclear physics has led him to his current position, which includes an advisory capacity to clinicians involved in the use of radioisotopes at the University of London.
The book was written for those without special knowledge of nuclear energy. It takes the optimistic view that our civilization will not be destroyed by nuclear war.
