This book attempts to condense the field of hematology for presentation to interested medical students and practitioners of medicine. Almost every disease seen in present-day hematology is mentioned, and several sections of the book, such as the one on hemolytic anemias, appear to be adequate for their intended purpose.
On the whole, however, the book is disappointing in its organization and scope. Some areas, such as the hemoglobinopathies and the use of radioactive isotopes in diagnosis, are so sketchily covered as to be of no real value. I do not believe the book will prove to be of use in
