The nineteen papers given at the symposium on anticoagulant therapy held at the Royal Society of Medicine on November 18 and 19, 1960, form the body of this excellent book; it should be read by everyone who deals with anticoagulants or plans to do so in the future.
The symposium started with a review of the action of oral anticoagulants on the blood coagulation mechanism. Papers were then presented on the methods of controlling the dosage of the drugs used.
