This pocket-size book is designed to provide clinicians with a guide to the use of drugs. A brief but informative introduction precedes the description of commonly used drugs grouped under ten headings. Each section is prefaced by a succinct discussion of the pharmacology and basic considerations related to drug choice. Then specific drugs are characterized, and identified with both generic and representative trade names.
For the sake of brevity, the author has omitted much material not directly pertinent to clinical therapy. No bibliography is included.
The preface emphasizes that "a choice of drug eventually comes down to opinion" and this
