Collected here are forty-five papers, by as many authors, interspersed with introductory speeches and discussions. It is not surprising that such a conglomerate is difficult to read and often contradictory, but in spite of this, many contributions are informative and challenging to the physician interested in thromboembolic disease and its therapy.
