Intended as a practical text, this book is a good one. It is organized in a conventional way, with two short introductory general chapters and the remainder proceeding distally from the esophagus, a segment at a time. Clinical information is presented in a straightforward and definite manner, without the embellishment (or value) of historical or controversial discussions. A great deal of useful material is presented thereby, but usually at an elementary level.
Doctor Hafter puts considerable emphasis on radiographic diagnosis, and perhaps too much on method. The illustrations are superb, both radiologically and in quality of reproduction. I hope that
