Over the past twenty years, pulmonary and cardiac surgery has expanded immensely and has provided insights which are most useful to the internist. In 1952, Drs. Lindskog (surgeon) and Liebow (pathologist) of the Yale Medical School summarized much of this progress in their Thoracic Surgery and Related Pathology. They have now allied themselves with Dr. Glenn (cardiovascular surgeon) to produce a new edition, Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery with Related Pathology.
The volume reviews the surgical diseases of the thorax and heart and describes the corrective operative procedures available, without going into details of operative technique. Certain pulmonary situations frequently encountered
