Rehabilitation has not yet matured enough to be considered a clinical discipline. Unquestionably, rehabilitation is vitally important, unquestionably, it must deal with the whole patient; but how this is to be done is still a problem.
Dr. Maya Riviere has tried to bring order into this developing field of medicine by classifying every observation that should be made on a patient, the decisions that come from evaluation conferences, the services that are used, and the results.
For this task, she has called upon 128 consultants and promises the formation of three new committees in 1963; this may well bring the
