The second edition of "Radioactive Isotopes" "has been planned for the physician with little or no previous training or experience in the use of radioactive isotopes" with "preponderant stress placed on the chapters devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid disorders." With this in mind, and limiting the remainder of the book to isotopes that have demonstrated usefulness in medical practice, the author has very comprehensively reviewed the clinical applications of radioactive tracers.
